A downloadable game

Homun is a short and sweet, loosely sokoban-inspired puzzle game that follows the journey of a 'homun' navigating various contraption-riddled rooms on its quest for delicious oranges.

The main mechanics of the game are the contraptions, which are made up of a functioning in-world wiring- and logic system. The mechanisms behind each puzzle are plainly visible to the player and solving the puzzles will require them to 'read' the circuits and experiment in order to figure out the inner workings of the game's world. As the game progresses additional machines and mechanics are gradually introduced and layered on top of one another. Locked doors, pistons, lemons and more may hinder or help the homun as it strives to satiate its burning desire for orange.

A story (?)
Homun !

Homun may be a short and sweet loosely sokoban-inspired puzzle game and all that, but it is also my very first proper released video game! I started development on the game during the summer of 2025, after which I took an extended break from it to focus on my university studies. In late May/early June 2026 I picked up working on it again, intending to finish it before July, when I was going to be participating in the online art event Art Fight. And of course, this starry-eyed first-game naivete was soon crushed by the reality of the fact that making games is hard and takes a lot of time. Huh. Who'd have thunk? The whole 'The last 1% of a game makes up 50% of  the development time'-thing or however that saying goes really does ring true. That all being said, here I am releasing the game in August 2026. And here the game is. It's only about an hour or two long and it isn't some groundbreaking reinvention of the block-pushing puzzle game genre, but I'm really proud of it and I have had a ton of fun making it. I hope you'll enjoy it !

There may be more Homun in the future.

I want to thank Snoodle, QuaintSaint and Matvis for contributing some absolutely wonderful songs to the game's OST, and a special thank you to Snoodle for also making the overwhelming majority of the SFX for the game. I truly love this soundtrack and will continue to listen to it in the background as I work on my next games. Here are their links, please check out the rest of their work (they're all spectacular):

Install instructions

Download the zip file and unpack it into an empty folder. Then either create a shortcut to the executable file or just run the executable file directly. Then hopefully you should be able to play Homun! Note that the game doesn't save your progress before you close the game, since the game is more or less short enough to play through in a single session. There is no fullscreen for the game.

This was such a short and simple game, this is the sort of game i would have played in middle school to pass the time. I mean that in the best way i can. i love orange. i love homun.

It's really good. Play it in an hour. You will not regret pushing boxes and navigating contraptions in order to reach citrus fruits.

Homun is a very small but sweet sokoban game about getting the delectable citrus at the end of every level. The music is calming and really chilll and the artstyle is simple but very visually pleasing. As for the actual gameplay Its simple but sweet, not bogging you down with too many mechanics and using all the ones it shows you in unique ways, my only criticism is that i wish there was more but besides that this game is a wonderful little treat!
